  • This is Episode 1 of my SwagTron T1 Hoverboard Torture test. This test was essentially placing the SwagTron on friction-free rollers and seeing how long it ran. This is Episode 1 and I plan on doing about 7 more episodes before it is complete and then finally doing a standard product review (if I don’t blow up, light on fire, or destroy all 3 that is :) ). Then maybe an actual tear-down of the SwagTron.

    The SwagTron was expected to last 1.5 hours at max speed as the box states “up to 12 miles per charge”. It actually went 2 hours 11 minutes which equates to 17.47 miles assuming the SwagTron was going 8 MPH.
    I guess the box statement reflects real-world use as opposed to the perfect scenario (flat terrain, low friction, straight-line path) like the roller test but that is just an assumption.

    Overall the SwagTron T1 hoverboard performed well. The rollers I used however did not, they were extremely hot to the touch and emanated a burning lubricant smell.
    I was going to add a dot to the wheel so I could calculate actual distance using RPM’s but it ended up having some problem with the shutter speed on my camera (I need a better one).

    - Maximum speed of the scooter: 20 Km/h.
    - The scooter can keep balance well, move forward/backward and turn left/right flexibly (including a control person on the scooter).
    - Easily charging the batteries of the scooter with an external automatic charger.
